Monalee Mccrea

Monalee McCrea, age 74, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, following a brief illness. Monalee was born October 24, 1935 in Caro, the daughter of John & Thelma (Barnes) Deering. She graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1953. Monalee owned and operated Johnnys Drive-In for several years before starting a twenty year career with the State Savings Bank in Caro, currently Chemical Bank, retiring on November 30, 2000. During her free time, Monalee loved being with her family, playing cards with her friends, reading and golfing. Surviving are her mother, Thelma Deering of Caro; three children and their spouses, John & Terri McCrea of Davison, Janie McCrea of Bloomfield Hills and her fiance, Gary Farthing, Dianna & Rick Reese of Cushing, Texas; seven grandchildren; her loving companion, Richard Reinke of Bay City; one sister, Trudie Schlaud of Alger and several nieces and nephews. Monalee was preceded in death by her father, John Deering and one sister, Enid Ann Munson.
