Muriel "Murt" Fogarsi

Muriel "Murt" Fogarsi of Davison, formerly of Vassar, age 80, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 19, 2017. Murt was born April 9, 1937 in Detroit, the daughter of the late Oswald and Helen Elting. She was united in marriage with Steve Junior Fogarsi on June 27, 1992. Steve preceded her in death on May 16, 2008. Murt had been employed at the former Vassar Convalescent Center and Lapeer Regional Hospital. She loved Bingo, going to the casino, traveling and spending time talking with others. Murt was always concerned that everyone had something to eat, and being boisterous, everyone felt her presence. Left to cherish her memory are three children and their spouses, Deana & Jim Ackerman of Vassar, Archie Hackney of Frankenmuth, Richard & Linda Hackney of Clio; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Fred & Chris Reiner of North Carolina, William Morton of Tawas City. In keeping with Murt's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Davison Eagles, 3270 North State Road (M15), Davison, MI 48423.
