Nancy Ann Eastman , age 64, of Mio and Sebewaing, was born on April 10, 1956 to Peter and Eleanor Magdi. She left this life to gain eternal life with Jesus. She grew up with parents who loved and showed what it meant to be in love with Jesus. Her greatest desire was to raise her children to love one another and Jesus. On Thursday, September 17 at 11:17pm, she went into the presence of Jesus.
On November 26, 1977, she married Al Eastman in Clarkston, Michigan, during a major snow storm. God blessed her with two wonderful children, Shawna and Matthew.
When Matthew was in Kindergarten, she became a super hero called Zero the Hero for the Mio schools. They would celebrate every ten days of school. She kept it a secret from him until the last days of school. When Zero the Hero said that he was going to bring his son. When Matt got home, she told him she was Zero the Hero. He could not believe it until she showed him the costume. This made Matt know who the Hero in his life was, his mother.
The Eastman family traveled around this country bringing the good news of Jesus to the children in many churches. She had two clowns, Ethel and Roothie Toothie. She was able to make people laugh with her clowns. She taught her children to follow her passion. Many times Shawna and Nancy would even pick out the same outfit. They also would wear the same things and it was not planned.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Al Eastman; daughter, Shawna (Dale) Rader; son Matthew (Melissiah) Eastman; and two beautiful granddaughters: Emma and Addison, all live in Mio; sister, Susan Magdi of Madison Heights; brother Thomas (Deana) Magdi of Rockledge, Florida, and their children, Emily and Nathan; brother-in-law, Eugene Eastman and sister-in-law, Mava Eastman of Minneapolis, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Eleanor Magdi; brother-in-law, Art Eastman; and sisters-in-law, Elaine Eastman and Coleen Eastman.
A memorial service is planned for Friday, September 25, 2020 at the Mio New Hope Assembly of God, 520 8 th St, Mio, at 11am.
Memorial donations may be given to the Eastman family (c/o Alvin Eastman) or the Sebewaing Assembly of God Church.
