Nancy Ann Gosson

Nancy Ann Gosson of Caro, age 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Medilodge of Cass City. Nancy was born on a farm near Watrousville on May 23, 1934, the daughter of the late Frank and Nellie (Opperman) Sinclair. Her parents later purchased a farm near Cass City where she graduated from Cass City High School and went on to Michigan State College during the time when it became a university. On February 5, 1955, Nancy married Lester Gosson and together they have celebrated sixty-six happy years together. She worked for the Tuscola Intermediate School District as the Pupil Accounting Auditor where she retired from after twenty-two years of employment. Nancy accomplished many goals in her lifetime. Among them was singing in the Caro United Methodist Church choir for over fifty years and being a 4-H leader for thirty-seven years. She served on the county 4-H Council and was president of the state 4-H committee. Nancy loved to fish, hunt, travel, camp and left part of her heart in Alaska. Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Lester; four children, Kimberly (Joel) Browne, Shara (Thomas) Chapman, Kevin (Barb) Gosson and Lee (Lynn) Gosson; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and sister, Florence Freeman of Portland. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Sinclair. The family has honored Nancy's wishes and cremation has taken place.
