Nancy Louise Kata

Nancy L. Kata, age 68, of Unionville, passed away December 16, 2017, at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw.

Nancy was born July 17, 1949, in Bad Axe, to Louis and Mabel (Naffien) Herman. She married Eugene Kata on May 15, 1975, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Nancy retired from Independent Bank and is a member at Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing cards with her special cousin, Rosie Findlay, laughing and being with family and friends. Her smile and laugh will be greatly missed.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Eugene; mother, Mabel Herman of Pigeon; children: Annette Carson, Lou Carson (special friend Stefanie Blaisdell), and Nicholas (Annette) Kata all of Unionville; brother, Larry (Sharon) Herman of Unionville; grandchildren: Olivia Carson and Layne Carson; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Nancy is preceded in death by her father, Louis Chester Herman.

A memorial service is planned for Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am.
