Nancy Lawrie

Nancy Lawrie of Caro, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Community in Caro. She was born June 13, 1936 in Sault Ste. Marie, the daughter of the late Victor and Alice (Johnston) Swick. Nancy had worked at Moore's Country Kitchen. She volunteered at the Caro V.F.W., working many Bingo nights, and if she wasn't working she was playing Bingo or pool. Nancy enjoyed watching the water, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and when able, she enjoyed traveling to visit her brothers and sisters. She is survived by eight children, Bobby Lawrie of Flint, Patty & Joe Lockhart, Joanne & Doug McComb, Donna & Ray Romain, Allen & Pam Lawrie, Don & Melissa Lawrie, Richard Lawrie, and Linda Kaye Ford, all of Caro; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; and eleven brothers and sisters. Memorial services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with the Women of the Moose, followed by the Caro VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and Pastor David Dietzel of the Caro Assembly of God Church officiating. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Caro Assembly of God Church.
