Nancy Lee Topham

Nancy Lee Topham of Caro, age 74, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Fisher Senior Care & Rehab with her family by her side. Nancy was born March 29, 1949, the only daughter of the late Joseph and Leona (Ihrke) McSkulin. She was born and raised in Mayville and graduated from Mayville High School. While at a fair in Vassar, Nancy happened to meet Richard A. Topham. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on August 12, 1967 at the Reese Methodist Church. Their marriage was blessed with over 56 years, three daughters, and countless wonderful memories. Nancy was a very caring and loving mother, daughter, wife, grandma, great-grandma, friend, and caregiver to the many little ones she raised and welcomed into her home and family. In addition to running a daycare, she also sold Avon for a number of years. Nancy loved sitting on the swing, baking cookies, and spending time with family and friends. She was always willing to help anyone she could and remained a fighter until the very end. A true mother hen to everyone, Nancy’s calm, kind, and loving soul will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Nancy leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Richard; daughters, Valerie Topham (Russell Bussey), Mindy (Scott) Kelley, and Stacy (Rodney) Smith; grandchildren, Kayla (Mike), Carly (Jake), Dakota (Cat), Ashlynn (John), Nevaeh, and Victoria; great-grandchildren, Quintin, Sophia, Ellieonna, Chevy, Lydia, Novalee, Dillin, Paisley, Adam, Izzak, and coming soon, Elijah; sisters-in-law, Linda (Richard) Childs and Janelle (Mark) Buchinger; brother-in-law, Mark (Sue) Topham; and many special friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro.
