Nelson Robert Bond

Nelson R. Bond, age 60, of Caseville, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at Select Speciality Hospital in Saginaw after a long illness.

Nelson was born September 22, 1947 in Detroit to the late Robert and Dorothy (Olczak) Bond. He grew up in Caseville after his family moved there when he was a child, and graduated from Caseville High School in 1966. On October 8, 1966 he married his high school sweet-heart Jacqueline Shephard at the Latter Days Saints Church in Caseville.

Nelson had worked at MOCO in Caseville for 18 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, barbequing , card playing, dancing, reading, NASCAR, giving out chocolate candy kisses and providing a challenge to the medical profession.

He is survived by his wife Jacqueline; daughter Robin and her husband Brian Watts of Lake Orion; sons Nelson C. and his wife Laura of Pigeon and Todd and his wife Linda of Bay Port; grandchildren Brianna, Lauren, Matthew, Andrew, Ryan, Shadow and Brandie; and a brother, Gail H. of Florida.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 16, 2008 at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville with Rev. Karen Bouverette officiating.

Visitation will be 3:00-8:00PM Thursday and from 9:00AM Friday until the time of the service.
