Nicholas Decker, Jr.

Nicholas Decker of Caro, age 86, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Medilodge of Cass City. Nick was born February 22, 1935 in Cass City, the son of the late Nicholas, Sr. and Alma (Rogers) Decker. Nick worked for Henkle McCoy as a lineman, moved to Caro in 1961 and purchased Caro Home Furnishings, which he operated until 1972, and also delivered fuel. He moved to Arizona and then Texas and drove tour bus. Nick enjoyed dancing, fishing, camping, cooking and playing cards. Nick is survived by two children and their spouses, Nancy & Ken Tomlinson of Caro, Neil & Jane Decker of Texas; two grandsons and spouses, Eric & Kristy Tomlinson, Craig & Heather Tomlinson; two great-granddaughters, Olivia and Bree; siblings, Lillian of Frankenmuth, Mary Rau of Midland, Carol of Illinois, Alonzo & Helen of Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Nick was preceded in death by four siblings, Patricia, Clarence, Phillip and Ellen. In keeping with Nick's wishes, cremation has taken place.
