Nicole Michelle Johnson-Richie

Nicole Michelle Johnson-Richie of Fairgrove, age 41, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at her home. Nicole was born April 7, 1982, in Bay City, the daughter of Chester and Lisa (Tacey) Johnson. She was united in marriage with Michael Richie on June 16, 2016, at Sunset Bay Marina. Nicole spent her life caring for others as a granddaughter, daughter, sister, mother, wife, cousin, niece, aunt, but her biggest enjoyment came from being a cook and a medical assistant. She was a passionate animal lover and loved the beach.

Nicole is survived by her husband, Michael Richie; one son, Griffin; one daughter, Vada; her parents, Chester and Lisa Johnson; sister, Cassandra Johnson (Thomas Cotton) of Unionville; brothers, Charles Johnson of Fairgrove, Tyler Johnson (Caspian Thompson) of Akron; nieces and nephews, Ellah, Axel, Tyler, Garrett, Serenity, Samuel, Jaxen, Nicholas, Mia Mae, Logan, Jordan and Miranda; grandmother, Shirley Tacey; best friend, Ashley Micklash; sister-in-law, Jolyn Richie; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gary Tacey, Alvin and Frances Johnson; and a nephew, Charlie.

In keeping with Nicole’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro.
