Nila L. Armstead

Nila L. Armstead age 71, of Elkton, died Saturday Afternoon, October 5, 2019 at Huron County Medical Care Facility in Bad Axe.

Nila was born October 2, 1948 in Pigeon to the late Anthony (Ed) and Dorothy (Shepherd) Englehart.  She grew up in the Elkton area and attended Elkton-Pigeon-Bay Port Schools.  She loved dogs and horses.  She raised several different breeds of dogs over the years.

Nila is survived by her sons Mike P. (Julie) Wiederhold and George Wiederhold of Elkton and Kenneth (Patty) Armstead of Moody, Texas; significant other Randy Stirrett of Elkton; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; brother Raymond Englehart of Pigeon; sisters Gail Knirs of Lum, Sharon English of Pigeon and Connie Cariveau of Ortonville; sister-in-law Susan Englehart of Pearland, Texas and several nieces and nephews.

Nila was preceded in death by her son James Wiederhold, brother Gerald Englehart, sisters-in-law Margaret Englehart and Tammy Englehart and brother-in-law Bruce Knirs.

Nila's wishes were there be no visitation or services.  Arrangement are being handled by Champagne Funeral Chapel.
