Nina Jean Finkbeiner, age 74, of Sebewaing, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015, at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City.
Nina was born June 17, 1940 in Bach to the late Charles and Frieda (Roemer) Finkbeiner. After graduating from Sebewaing High School in 1958, she attended Comp School in Saginaw and learned to use the comptometer. She then moved to California where she worked in a large bakery for 10 years. She then had the opportunity to transfer to another large bakery in Detroit where she worked for approximately one year. Nina then was offered at job at Chrysler in Detroit to work in the Accounts Payable Department. She retired from Chrysler in 1994. She has spent the last 6 years living in Sebewaing with her dear sister-in-law, Marjorie.
Nina enjoyed crafting, playing bingo, visiting with friends and traveling. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Marjorie Finkbeiner of Sebewaing; nephew, William Finkbeiner of Lansing; great nephews: Michael Finkbeiner of Bay City and William Finkbeiner, Jr. of Lansing; great nieces: Billie Lee Finkbeiner of Bay City and Alicia Finkbeiner of Lansing; 2 great great nephews and 2 great great nieces.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 3-7pm.
The funeral service will be Friday, January 16, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.
Burial will take place at Silverlawn Cemetery in Sebewaing.
Memorial donations may be given to the Immanuel Lutheran Church – General Fund.
