Noreen Mae Mccallum

Noreen Mae McCallum, age 75, of Caseville, died Saturday, December 8, 2007 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor of complications from heart surgery.
She was born March 28, 1932 in Detroit to the late Carl and Eva (Pierce) Neubar. On March 27, 1954 she married John Robert McCallum in Detroit. John preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 2002.
Prior to marrying, Noreen worked at the Detroit Free Press. After marriage she lived in Detroit and raised her family. Having vacationed in Caseville since 1970, she and her husband moved there permanently in 1985. Artistically minded, she enjoyed painting and playing the piano and guitar.
Surviving are her four children, Valerie McCallum of Caseville, Lisa Clinton of St. Clair Shores, Elizabeth (George) Masserang of East Pointe and John McCallum of Milan; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother Carl Neubar Jr.
A Memorial service will be at 12:30 Saturday, December 15th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville. Friends may begin gathering after 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Caseville Community Christmas Fund or the Thumb Animal Shelter.
