Norma Linda Galliver, age 87, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 4, 2009 at Covenant Health Care - Harrison in Saginaw. She was born February 28, 1922 on the family farm near Reese, the daughter of the late Frederick W. & Freda (Gilmore) Spiekerman. Following graduation from Fairgrove High School in 1939, she was united in marriage with Arthur Frank Fader on May 1, 1943. He preceded her in death on February 29, 1960. Norma was then united in marriage with Charles D. Galliver, Jr. on June 1, 1962. He preceded her in death on September 27, 1996. During most of her adult life, Norma worked as a cosmetologist, owning her own shop at her home, retiring in 1978. For the last several years, Norma has attended the Caro First Baptist Church. During her free time, she loved cake decorating, quilting, doing crafts of all kinds, such as making jewelry items, knitting, crocheting, traveling and spending her winters in Texas for many years. Surviving are two daughters, one son and their spouses, Patty & Jim McClenathen of Blissfield, Michigan, Sharon Giddings of Caro, Wayne & Frances Fader of Dryden, Michigan; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Joel & Sarah Wright, Jenny Koehler, Carla & Paul King, Henry & Amy Wagner, Carleen Giddings, Arthur & Hollie Fader, Roxanne Fader; ten great-grandchildren, Jake and Taylor Wright, Sydney Koehler, Drake Mackenzie, Kayleen & Michael Hahn, Steven King, Ashley, Benjamin, and Jacob Wagner, Christian Giddings and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, Norma was preceded in death by her twin brother, Norman Benjamin Spiekerman on November 4, 2008 and her son-in-law, Charles E. Giddings in 2006.
