Norma Hiser

Norma Elaine Hiser, age 79, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2008 at St. Marys of Michigan in Saginaw, following a period of declining health. She was born September 4, 1928 in Caro, the daughter of the late Fred D. & Leota Ann (Leonard) Gunsell. Norma graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1946. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Jack Hiser on September 28, 1946 at the Caro First Presbyterian Church. Norma and Jack were very active members of the church where they both sang in the choir, served as Elders of the church, and where she was a Sunday school teacher and Womens Association member. Norma loved going to parties, dancing, eating out, golfing, skiing, playing bridge, bowling and traveling the world with Jack. Jack preceded Norma in death on September 26, 2006, just days from celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. Norma is survived by three children and their spouses, Terry & Bev Hiser of South Bend, Indiana, Ruthanne & David Fobear of Shelby Township, David & Sue Hiser of Caro; six grandchildren and their spouses, Chad & Michelle Hiser, Troy Hiser, Eric Hiser, Sara & Phillip Millerov, Emily & Nathan Monterosso, Thomas Fobear; one great-granddaughter, Madeline Hiser; sister-in-law, Irma Moriarty of Palmetto, Florida; brother-in-law, Max Shuster of Palmetto, Florida and many nieces, nephews and friends.
