Norma Lea Johnson

Norma Lea Johnson, age 84, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at United Hospice of Marlette. She was born April 19, 1941 in Cass City, the daughter of the late Lester and Ruth (Brown) Alderfer. Norma was a fantastic homemaker, baked delicious cookies, and decorated the most amazing wedding cakes. She loved spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. Norma never turned down a chance to go dancing; if there was a band, she was there. She enjoyed playing cards, camping, talking on the phone, and watching her classic shows. Norma’s spunky, loving soul will be missed.

Norma leaves to cherish her family, her children, Wendy (Bob) Dickson, Rhonda Lara, Kevin Ross, and Becky Ross (Mitch); grandchildren, April (Chris) Stanley, Luezern Dickson, Danielle Dickson (Andy), Amanda Henderson, Brayden Valdez, Lilith Ross, and Harold Ross; great-grandchildren, Maddy, Makayla, Mason, Hunter, Aurora, Dominic, Luke, Jaden, and Miley; great-great-grandchild, Desmond; brother, Clifford Thomas Alderfer; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Roger E. Johnson; siblings, Bob Chambers, Paul Chambers, Richard Birkenmeier, Irving Birkenmeier, and Betty Ann Johnson.

Norma’s funeral service will be on Friday, June 20, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro. Rev. Marc Herron will officiate with the burial following at Indianfields Township Cemetery. The family will be present to receive visitors on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of her service.
