Norma Jean Wightman

Norma Jean Wightman, age 78, of Caro, passed away August 15, 2019, at U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor, after fighting a long illness.

Norman was born October 22, 1940, in Caro, to Albert and Suvilla (McAlpine) Faust. She graduated from Caro High School, Class of 1958. She married Roy Wightman on November 23, 1963. Norma enjoyed taking care of her home, reading cookbooks, playing the organ, flowers and listening to gospel music. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing.

Norma is survived by her husband, Roy; children: Terry (Susie) Wightman of Caro and Eric (Crystal) Wightman of Caro; grandchildren: Becky McIntosh, Kristen Wightman, Courtney Wightman and Dakota Wightman; great grandchildren: Melanie, Chloe, Hailey, Luke and Peyton; sisters: Idena (William) Rodd and Onnalee Miklovic; sister-in-law, Dorothy Faust; and many nieces and nephews.

Norma is preceded in death by her siblings: Bernice Faust and Elmer Faust.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 18, 2019, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing, from 2-8pm.

The funeral service will be Monday, August 19, 2019, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at the church at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial will be private at Elkland Township Cemetery in Cass City.

Memorial donations may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
