Norman Samborski, 84, of Caseville, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025 at home under hospice care surrounded by his family, holding his granddaughter’s hand.
Norm was born June 6, 1940 in Hamtramck to the late Frank and Mary (Lipin) Samborski. He served two years in the US Army. He married Joann Marvinetz on February 2, 1963 at St. Mark Catholic Church in Warren.
In 1986 Norm moved from Sterling Heights to Caseville. He was a meatcutter at the Caseville IGA and Huron’s Finest, and a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, casino trips, spending time with his friend Danny Hack, bantering on the phone with his son Paul, and his furry friend Maddie.
Norm is survived by his wife of 62 years Joann; sons Brian and Paul (Tina), all of Caseville; and granddaughter Paige. He was preceded in death by his son Mark, sister Madeline Skikiewicz.
A funeral mass will be at 11:00am Wednesday, February 26th at St. Roch Catholic Church with Fr. George Amos presiding. Burial with miliary honors will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00am Wednesday at church and continue until the time of the mass.
