O. Dunham

O. D. Dunham, age 78, went to be with his Lord on Friday, August 28, 2009 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born August 22, 1931 in Caro, the son of the late Gerald & Ova (Matznick) Dunham and was a lifelong area resident. O. D. graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1949 and was united in marriage with the former Marjorie Stout on September 21, 1950 in Caro. He was employed at the Caro Regional Center as an Attendant Nurse until 1969. He later worked at Weber Lumber until 1984 when he returned to the Caro Regional Center in the Carpentry Shop, retiring in 1995. O. D. will be best remembered for his great love of family, and his ability to build almost anything. He was a member of the Juniata Baptist Church and enjoyed bowling and riding his motorcycle all over the United States with his wife. In addition to his wife of nearly fifty-nine years, Marjorie Dunham, O. D. is survived by three sons and their spouses, Gary & Patty Dunham of Caro, Larry Dunham of Murphy, Texas, Bob & Denise Dunham of Caro; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer & Antoine LaPratt of Caro, Matthew and Mike Dunham, both of Caro, Courtney & Jamison Womack of Wylie Texas, Brittney Dunham of Plano, Texas, Nathan Dunham of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, Joshua & Jennifer Dunham of Caro, Adam & Sabrina Dunham of Woodbury, Connecticut; four great-grandchildren, Conner and Ariana Dunham, Abbey and Owen LaPratt, all of Caro; one brother and his wife, Paul & Janet Dunham of Caro; sister-in-law, Loris Dunham of Caro; one brother-in-law, Allyn Bud Stout of Morehouse, Missouri and several nieces and nephews In addition to his parents, O. D. was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Julie Dunham in 1987, twin great-grandchildren, Allison and Andrew LaPratt in 2003, one brother, Carson Dunham in 1998, his daughter-in-law, Tammy Dunham in 2009 and sister-in-law, Dorothy Dot Stout in 2008.
