Oline Endert

Oline Endert, age 87, passed away Monday, August 18, 2008 at her sons home in Millington, surrounded by the love of her family. Oline was born September 20, 1920 in Mud Lick, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Audie & Dora E. (Staples) Fox. She was united in marriage to Harold William Endert on February 1, 1941 in Detroit, and the couple came to the Caro area to raise their family of ten children, until moving to Venice, Florida in 1970. After the children were grown, Oline was employed as a dietician at the Caro Regional Center for eight years, and as the head dietician at the Venice Hospital in Florida for fifteen years. Following her retirement in Florida, she and her husband moved to Lake Gogebic, near Marenisco, Michigan in the Upper Peninsula. Olines beloved husband preceded her in death on December 31, 1989. She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran faith, and most recently a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Ramsay, Michigan. Oline enjoyed spending time with her family, watching the Humming Birds at the feeder, reading, fishing and tending to her garden Left to cherish her memory are five sons, four daughters and their spouses, Gerald & Mildred Endert of Millington, Harold Endert, Jr of Marenisco, MI, William & Melody Endert of Vassar, Donald & Cindy Endert of Kingston, Gary & Roxanne Endert of Caro, Ida Stricker of Caro, Oline & Joe Raniszewski of Bergland, Joyce & Richard Evans of Mio, Jackie & Nathan Grisham of Tulsa, Oklahoma; thirty grandchildren; fifty-four great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Russ Semrad of Tigerton, Wisconsin; two sisters-in-law, Helen Fox of Mishawaka, Indiana, Gertrude Fredrickson of St. Clair Shores; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Oline was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathleen “Toni” Semrad in 2003; three sisters, including her twin sister; three brothers; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
