Onalee F. Ewald age 88 of Chandler Twp. died Saturday morning, August 13, at Country Gardens, Pigeon while under hospice care.
She was born January 20, 1923 in McKinley Twp. to the late Charles and Sadie (Pitcher) Fisher. Onalee grew up on the family farm, attended Farver Country School and graduated from Pigeon High School in 1941.
On October 24, 1942, she married Frederick L. Ewald in Elkton; they made their home on a farm in Chandler Twp. He preceded her in death August 2, 1983.
Onalee was a member of the Caseville Retirement Club. She enjoyed music and dancing, playing cards, the companionship of animals and being with her family.
Surviving are three children, Jacquelyn (Norman) Holdwick of Lexington, Frederick (Nancy) Ewald of Spring, TX and Marsha Fritz of Oshkosh, WI; six grandchildren, Nick, Adam (Aiko), Michael (Tia), Steven, Grant and Seth; five great grandchildren, Hope, Austin, Chaslyn, Addison and Landin Onalee; a great great grandson, Colton and her beloved cat, Cricket.
Private graveside services for the family will take place at the Caseville Twp. Cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to: Dr. Khan, Sharon Gross, Terrill Machowitz, Angie Lawrence, Leann and Denny Smith, Home and Hospice Advantage of Cass City and the Country Gardens staff.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Assn. or the Humane Society of your choice
