Onalee Young

Onalee E. Young, age 74 years, of Highland, formerly of Caro, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at North Oakland Medical Center in Pontiac. She was born on October 4, 1931, in Caro, the daughter of David and Sadie (Riley) Klinesmith. She was a Caro High School graduate. The former Onalee E. Klinesmith married Derald C. Young on January 17, 1951, in Norfolk, Virginia. He preceded her in death in 1997. As a military family, the Youngs moved from location to location, settling in Highland, Michigan. Mrs. Young was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W. Post #3720 in Swartz Creek. Onalee was a homemaker who enjoyed needlepoint and reading. She is survived by two sons, Dale (Monica) Young of Highland and Lucky Young of Zephyrhills, Florida; four grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister; Wilma Langworthy. The funeral service will be held at the Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Saturday, April 29, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Ronald C. Wigand of the First Baptist Church of Caro will officiate. Burial will be at Indianfields Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
