Onna Lee Miklovic of Caro, age 84, died peacefully on Friday, January 20, 2023, surrounded by her family. Onna Lee was born in Caro on April 11, 1938, the daughter of the late Albert and Suvilla (McAlpine) Faust. She grew up in Caro and graduated from Caro High School with the Class of 1956. She married Bernard Miklovic on October 21, 1961, at St. Agatha Catholic Church in Gagetown. After their wedding, they lived briefly in Saginaw before settling in Caro. Onna Lee worked at Massoll's Sales, a Dodge automobile dealership in Caro, from 1959 to 1972. She then began working for her sister and brother-in-law, Idena and Bill Rodd, at Thumb Travel Agency in Caro, and retired from there several years ago. She loved to travel and escorted a number of tour groups through the years. Her other interests included watercolor and kiln-fired china and porcelain painting, and she was a member of the Galloway Porcelain Art Club. She was an active and longtime member of the ‘Scarlet Sisters', the local Red Hat Group. She held leadership roles in the Women's Council of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro, including representing the congregation at several meetings of the National Council of Catholic Women. She is survived by her son Michael A. Miklovic and his husband, Dr. Tomas L. Griebling, of Olathe, Kansas; her sister, Idena Rodd of Caro; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Faust of Midland; her brother-in-law, Roy Wightman of Caro; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Berniece Faust and Norma Wightman; one brother Elmer Faust; her brother-in-law Bill Rodd; one nephew, Ed Faust; and one niece, Sue Abbe. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2023, at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church in Caro with Rev. Christopher Coman officiating. The family will be present to receive friends at that Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will be held following the services at the church parish hall. Burial will be at Elkland Township Cemetery in Cass City at a future date with private graveside services.
