Ora Hamilton

Ora Hamilton, age 94, passed away February 4, 2007 in St. Petersburg, FL, following a brief illness. She was born June 23, 1912, the daughter of the late Robert Nettie (Macklem) Hamilton in Roger City, MI. During and after World War II, Ora worked for the Red Cross in Europe and Germany. She later worked for the Moore Paper Company in Detroit for many years, retiring in 1977. Following her retirement, she continued to live in Detroit until moving to St. Petersburg, FL in 1995. She enjoyed wonderful health during her retired life which allowed her to be a world traveler, play golf nearly everyday and always enjoy a good game of bridge. Ora was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian faith, and was most recently a member of the Blackburn Chapel at Westminster Shores in Florida. Ora is survived by nine nieces and nephews, Jean (William) Smith of North Branch, Janet (Bob) DeLorenzo of Caro, Mary Austin of Detroit, Martha Hamilton of Bay City, Dick (Sharon) Hamilton of Marshall, Bob (Terrie) Hamilton of Monroe, Ken (Liz) Calder of British Columbia, Canada, John Calder of Ketchikan, AK, Win (Margaret) Larson of Portage and many great nieces and nephews.
