Pamela Jean Gardner of Elkton, age 73, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Carey’s Young at Heart in Caro. She was born in Pontiac on August 3, 1951, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Barbara (Randall) Bingham. Pam grew up in Birmingham and graduated from Wiley E. Groves High School. She lived in Clearwater, Florida for a few years before returning to Michigan. Pam was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Sand Point and true believer in God. She married the love of her life, Richard Gardner on February 12, 2005, celebrating twenty years this year.
Pam worked in admitting at the hospitals in Bad Axe and Cass City and later retiring from the Huron Daily Tribune/ Midland Daily News. She loved to go camping with Rick and organize historical re-enactments. Pam was a member of the Great Lakes Historical Society and helped put together the “Walk Through Time” event at the state park. She enjoyed shooting muzzle loaded rifles with Rick and loved to laugh and have fun. Pam will be remembered for her radiant smile, joyful spirit, and the warmth she brought to every room.
Pam leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Richard; step-sons, Scott Gardner and Jason (Stacy) Gardner; brother, Randy (Janine) Bingham; sister, Nancy Folk; nephews, Cole Bingham, Bradley Bingham, John Bingham, and Chris Folk.
Visitation for Pam will be on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 2:00pm until 8:00pm at the Champagne Funeral Chapel. A memorial will take place in the summer.
