Patricia "Pat" Buniack

Patricia “Pat” Buniack, 87, of Caro, passed away at Hills and Dales Hospital, Cass City on July 4, 2026. She was born July 29, 1938 in Detroit to Elroy and Phyllis (Robinson) O’Connor and married George Buniack, Sr. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wilmot in 1954. Pat was never one to keep still and she worked as a waitress at Harmony Hill Bowling Alley, Sebewaing Lanes, Caro Moose Lodge and at the Crestwood. She was a member of the Caro Moose Lodge, Women of the Moose for more than seventy years as well as an avid golfer and bowler. Most importantly she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Pat leaves to cherish her memories, five children and spouses, Michael & Silvia O’Connor, Sherry & Randy Broadworth, Patty & Mel Hessling all of Caro, Christina Buniack and Steve Hickey of Bay City and Susie & Sam Tallman of Caro; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Pat and Phyllis O’Connor. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George, Sr.; son, George, Jr.; and two brothers, Gary and David O’Connor.

A funeral service for Pat will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Ransford Funeral Home - Caro, 205 West Sherman Street, Caro, MI 48723, with Rev. Michele Hile Officiating. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at a later date at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Wilmont. Memorial contributions may be made to the Caro Moose Lodge in memory of Pat.
