Patricia Kaye Campbell

Patricia Kaye Campbell of Caro, age 72, entered into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City, following a courageous battle with cancer. Kaye was born July 30, 1944 in Bad Axe, the daughter of the late Fred and Jean (Hicks) McMullen. She moved from Bad Axe to Caro as a young child and has lived here since, graduating from Caro High School in 1962 and attending Central Michigan University. Kaye was united in marriage with Richard Campbell on June 17 1967 in Caro, and he survives her. Her life revolved around her family and faith. She was a founding member of Living Waters Chapel in Caro where she served as organist, treasurer, elder and choir director. Kaye was also employed for ten years as a bookkeeper at State Savings Bank and later its successor, Chemical Bank. She was a Cub Scout Leader, enjoyed knitting and time spent at Back Alley Fibers. In earlier years, Kaye was a member of Sutton Sunshine United Methodist Church. She will be remembered as a loving and committed wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Kaye is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Richard Campbell of Caro; three children and their spouses, Burton & Linda Campbell of Cambridge, Ohio, Thomas & Stephen Campbell of Bay City, Angela Campbell of Caro; five grandchildren, Justin O'Kelly of Caro, Clark & Brianna Campbell of Old Washington, Ohio, Kayla Campbell of Cambridge, Ohio, Jared Salvador of Caro, Connor Campbell of Cambridge, Ohio; one brother, Fritz & Dorinda McMullen of West Bloomfield; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Living Waters Chapel in Caro with Rev. Jon Terry officiating. Burial will follow at the Ellington Township Cemetery in Caro. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider contributions to the Living Waters Chapel in Caro.
