Patricia Decker

Patricia (Ahearn) Decker of Caro, age 95, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021, following a brief illness. Pat was born May 2, 1926 in Kinde, the daughter of the late Edmund & Annie (Pettie) Ahearn. She graduated from Bad Axe High School and on October 5, 1957, was united in marriage with Francis Decker at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. For several years, Pat worked in various doctors' offices in Bad Axe until moving to Caro with Francis in 1957. While in Caro, she worked for over thirty years in retail, including the Caro Pharmacy and Everts Card Shop. Pat was a member of St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church in Caro, Christian Services, and the Caro Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, embroidery, baking, and spending time with family. Left to cherish Pat's memory are one son, Patrick Decker of Caro; sister, Cora Lovik of Fort Gratiot Township; brother, George Ahearn of Candia, New Hampshire; sister-in-law, Sharon Ahearn of Kinde; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her loving husband, Francis; siblings, MaryEllen (Fred) Horbes, Clara (Glenn) Wahl, Edmund (Deloras) Ahearn, Robert Ahearn, Mark (Linda) Ahearn; and one sister-in-law, Eleanor Ahearn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Church in Caro with Rev. Christopher Coman officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Caro.
