Patricia Dudek

Patricia Dudek of Bridgeport, age 70, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at her home. Pat was born March 20, 1945 in Cass City, the daughter of the late Constantine and Margaret (Neff) Dudek. She graduated from Akron-Fairgrove High School with the class of 1963 and Michigan State University in 1967 with a degree in education. Pat began her teaching career at Buena Vista High School as a biology teacher and returned to her alma mater, Akron-Fairgrove High School, as an Advanced Biology Teacher, serving both schools for several years. Shortly after her retirement from teaching, she began a career as a case worker for the Department of Human Services in Saginaw, retiring in 1997 after twenty-five years of service. Pat will be remembered as a loving and dedicated aunt and great-aunt. She had a big heart for all animals and cared for horses most of her life. Most recently, she raised a Polish-Arabian and a Lipizzan. Wherever she went, one of her dogs was sure to be close by. Patricia is survived by one brother and his wife, James & Barbara Dudek, of Fairgrove; three nieces and their spouses, Stephanie & Arthur Bernia of Akron, Jessica & Daniel Murphy of Lansing, and Amanda Dudek of Caro; four great-nephews and one great-niece, Sy and Kent Bernia, Emmaline, Ethan and Elliott Murphy. Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at St. Christopher Parish, Sacred Heart Campus in Caro with Rev. Dennis Kucharczyk officiating. In keeping with Patricia's wishes, cremation will follow the service with burial at a later date at St. Michael Cemetery in Wilmot. The family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. A Rosary Service will be held Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
