Patricia Ann Hart

On Wednesday, July 1, 2020, Pat Hart, our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away into eternity at age 77. Pat was born February 14, 1943 in Caro to Henry and Georgia (Britton) Arft. After high school, she married Fred Hart, Sr. on March 25, 1961. Together they were blessed with four children, Fred, Rhonda, Robin, and Roxann. Pat had a passion for serving people. She worked for many years in a senior center with the aged and for thirty years as a playground superintendent for Vassar Public Schools. After retirement from Vassar, she served as a classroom assistant for Millington Schools. During her years working with children, Pat would purchase and carry in her pockets extra hats and mittens to ensure all children were warm while playing at recess outside during the cold months. She most enjoyed time spent with her family and cherished her time with her sisters, children, grandchildren and extended family. Pat was preceded in death by her parents. She will be missed by her four children, Fred (Michelle) Hart, Rhonda (Greg) Horste, Robin (Dave) Regensburger, and Roxann (Dave King) Hart; nine grandchildren, David and Andrew Hart, Joseph and Jacob Cory, John, James and Emily Regensburger, and Ashley and Kyle Smith. Pat is also survived by one great-grandchild, Calvin Smith; her sisters, Shirley Walker and Karen (Bob) Phillips; and many nieces and nephews. Pat's family will be present to receive friends at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A private family service and burial at Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro will follow at a later time. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider carrying on Pat's memory by donating a hat or pair of mittens to a child in need this winter.
