Patricia Jean Herzog

Patricia J. Herzog, 86, of Pigeon passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024 at MyMichigan Health in Midland.

Pat was born April 21, 1938 in Owosso to the late Keelan and Margaret (Kristin) Nixon.  In 1955 she graduated as valedictorian from Elsie High School.  She married Vincent Herzog November 19, 1955; he preceded her in death in 1989.  She raised her family near Mud Creek.  She was a former member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church where she played the organ.  She loved gardening, birdwatching, reading, being outdoors and spending time with her family.

Pat is survived by her children Michele Kenway of Sparta, Alanna (Jim) Lackie of Pigeon, Robert (Tracy) of Grawn, Jacqueline Jett of Canton, Jon (Renee) of Pigeon; grandchildren Rebecca, Cameron, Brandon, Lindsay, Justin, Chris, Tyler, Alex, Anthony, Alexander, Michael, Brooke, Ben, and Karlee; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings Leslie (Michelle) Nixon, Mark (Judy) Nixon, Cheryl Nixon, and Kristin Milner.  She was preceded in death by her husband Vincent and sons Scott and Eric.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
