Patricia Marie Martin

Patricia Marie Martin of Caro, age 67, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Covenant Healthcare – Harrison in Saginaw. She was born October 10, 1958 in Caro, the eldest daughter of the late Mark Anthony and Beverly Joann (Cross) Perez, Sr. Patty proudly served as senior class president of Caro High School, graduating with the Class of 1977. She married the love of her life, Randy Martin on June 24, 1994.

Patty was a devoted and hardworking member of the Caro community throughout her life. She spent sixteen years with AAA, serving in Caro before continuing her work in Pontiac, Bay City, and Midland. She then worked as a paralegal and at an insurance company in Kingston. In 1998, Patty began what would become a twenty-seven-year career with Caro Transportation Department, where she remained until her illness. During her years there, she served in many roles, bus driver, dispatcher, parts department staff, and numerous other positions, always willing to help wherever she was needed. In addition to her work at the bus garage, Patty worked on and off at Caro Vision and served as a clerk at the courthouse. She was also dedicated to her church family, serving as secretary at Caro Assembly of God from 2009 to 2022.

Patty had a deep love for her church and was always willing to help wherever she was needed. She and her husband, Randy, were active and devoted members for more than thirty years. Patty enjoyed traveling and camping and was always happy to go out to eat, cherishing time spent with family and friends. She was especially proud to be a grandmother and found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren, doing anything for them. Patty was very crafty and had a remarkable eye for detail. She will be remembered as very smart and loving, feisty yet kind, devoted and loyal, and a dependable friend who loved to laugh. Known for her beauty, vibrant spirit, and sharp mind, Patty leaves behind a legacy of love that will be treasured by all who knew her.

Patty leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Randy Martin; children, Noah Martin, Joshua (Erinelizabeth) Gould, Ashley Vanhuylenbrouck, and Rikki (Curtis) Butterfield; grandchildren, Logan, Landen, Lucus, and Ravenna Martin, Gordan, Ethan, and Mary Gould, Gee, Madi, and Karmin White, Shaylee Vanhuylenbrouck, Cambrie O’Dell, Hunter, Brock, and Hailey Butterfield; great-granddaughter, Elouise White; siblings, Mark “Tony” (Venus) Perez II, Matthew (Marsha) Perez, Christopher Perez, and Beverly (Jeff) Warner (Crandall); sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sandra Holmes, Don (Karen) Martin, Norma (Dan) Abbott, Tom (Shallen) Campbell, Diane Campbell, David Campbell, and Cathy (Gene) Norman; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Alice & Dave Campbell; father-in-law, Don & Janet Martin; brothers-in-law, Jerry Crandall and Tim Holmes.
