Patricia Ann Rutkowski

Patricia Ann Rutkowski of Watrousville, age 82, passed away on Monday, December 25, 2023 at Fisher Senior Care & Rehab Center with her family by her side. Pat was born July 20, 1941 in Ruth, the daughter of the late Robert B. and Catherine A. (Peruski) Messing. She graduated from St. Peter & Paul Catholic High School in Ruth. On April 30, 1960, Pat married the love of her life, Richard Rutkowski at St. Anthony’s Church in Helena. Their marriage was blessed with over sixty years, five children, and countless memories. Sadly, Rich preceded her death on September 16, 2020. Pat was a wonderful homemaker, an excellent baker and seamstress. She cleaned the Caro First Presbyterian Church for twenty-three years and was a parishioner of St. Frances X Cabrini Church in Vassar. At a young age Pat taught herself to play the accordion and loved doing crafts and ceramics. She was always up for a trip to the casino and would try her best to euchre you any chance she could get.

Pat leaves to cherish her memory, her five children and their spouses, David & Ann Rutkowski of Caro, Don & LouAnne Rutkowski of Bay City, Dale Rutkowski of Vassar, Deanna & Harold Ingram of Caro, Darren & Tracy Rutkowski of Almont; thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brother, Dennis & Darlene Messing of Macomb; sister-in-law, Kathy Messing of Oxford; many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Pat was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Patty Rutkowski and brother, Marvin Messing.

In keeping with Pat’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Juniata Twp. Cemetery in Watrousville.
