Patricia Ann Wichert

Patricia Ann Wichert, 63, of Port Hope, passed away Monday, October 3, 2022 at home under hospice care.

Patricia was born January 2, 1959 in Detroit to the late Richard and Geraldine (Farmer) Grapp. Her family moved to Caseville in 1968 and she graduated from Caseville High School in 1977. On July 7, 1979 she married Alan Dale Wichert at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church-Berne and they later moved to Port Hope. She worked as a home caregiver. Her passions were making diamond art, swimming and animals, especially her dog “Rosie.”

Patricia is survived by her husband Alan; daughter Marcealina (Terry) Miller; grandsons Justin and Charles Miller; brothers Michael Grapp and Billy (Laura) Simmons, mother-in-law Noel Wichert; brothers-in-law Brian (Shannon) Wichert, Doug (Shelly) Wichert and Darrell Gotham and sister-in-law Angie (Jon) Helmuth. Patricia was welcomed into heaven by her mother Geraldine Simmons; step-father Henry Simmons; son David Dale; father-in-law Ronald Wichert; sister-in-law Andrea Gotham; infant nephew Henry Thomas Simmons and nephew Lee Austin Wichert.

A funeral mass will be 11:00am Friday, October 7th at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1709 Moeller Road, Kinde, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 Thursday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel in Pigeon.
