Patricia A. Wilson

Patricia A. Wilson of Fairgrove, age 85, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018 in Ashtabula, Ohio. Pat was born July 6, 1933 in Imlay City, the daughter of the late Ernest & Dorothy (Eastham) Wagner. She moved to Caro as a young girl and graduated with the Caro High School class of 1951. She began a secretarial career shortly after graduation, first with the Eaton Corporation in Vassar for over twenty years and later with the State of Michigan - Department of Environmental Quality. Pat was united in marriage with Ervin Wilson on May 21, 1953 in Caro, and he preceded her in death in 2005. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Cork Pine Campers, and a lifetime member of the Fairgrove V.F.W. Auxiliary #7486. Pat will be remembered as the life of any party she attended and loved to make people laugh. She also enjoyed dune buggy riding, playing cards, Bingo, and ballroom and square dancing. Her greatest joy, however, came from attending her grandchildren's school and college activities. Pat is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Deborah & Douglas Young of Fairgrove, Diane & James Rannigan of Ashtabula, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Denise Wilson of Bay City; four grandchildren and their spouses that knew her as "Bing", Kristin & Bradley Nelson of Fairgrove, Megan & Alan Jones of Lawrence, Kansas, Jennifer & Thomas Overmier of Ashtabula, Ohio, James Rannigan of Ashtabula, Ohio; one great-grandson, Wyatt Overmier of Ashtabula, Ohio; a best friend that she loved like a sister, Fern Young; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Pat was preceded in death by one son, David Wilson; brother, Frederick Wagner; and infant sister, Betty Jean Wagner. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Fairgrove Presbyterian Church with Rev. Philomena Ofori-Nipaah officiating.
