Paul F. Miller, 67, of Caseville and Ypsilanti, died unexpectedly Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.
Paul was born February 13, 1943 in Detroit to the late George C. And Laura B. (Klimek) Miller. He grew up in Detroit and graduated from St. Catherine High School in 1961. He served in the US Army from 1962-1964. He married Anne Zygai on June 18, 1966 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Wyandotte.
He attended the University of Wisconsin and received a degree in banking. He worked at the National Bank of Detroit and National Bank of Ypsilanti as an accountant. He later worked for many small businesses. He was former member of the Moose Lodge, Ypsilanti Rotary and Caseville Eagles. He enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, golf and spending time at his cottage in Caseville.
Surviving are his wife Anne; children Michael of Ypsilanti, Mark of Louisiana, Dawn Thompson of Chelsea and Lori (Don) Ratliff of Chelsea; grandchildren Jason, Bradley, Gabriel, Ciena, Penelope and Sterling; and his sister Joan Kloka of Clinton Twp.
He was preceded in death by his brother George and sister Janet.
A funeral mass will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, April 24th at St. Roch Catholic Church, Caseville, with Fr. Robert Pare presiding. Burial with military honors will be in St. Roch Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2-8 pm Friday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville. He will lie in-state at the church on Saturday from Noon until the time of the mass. There will be a scripture service at 7:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Sisters of Mercy Retirement Fund.
