Paul Edmund Piché

Paul Edmund Pich, age 82 a resident of Berkley, Michigan (and Largo, Florida) passed away on March 26, 2020 surrounded by members of his family in the loving home of his daughter Denise and Dallas Beasley in Attica, Michigan. He was a wonderful brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. Paul was born on December 16, 1937 the son of Robert and Eleanor (Dunn) Pich. He was the former owner/builder/contractor at Pich & Sons Construction in Royal Oak where the company found a niche market in insurance repairs, concentrating on fire and water damage restoration in the metro Detroit area. Paul was someone who was a "tinkerer" he could fix just about anything, and he enjoyed making inventions - one for which he applied for a patent. He had many interests and enjoyed spending his time visiting and traveling in his vintage 1968 Ultra Van. He was also a member of the Corvair Club and Tin Can Tourists. He was a devoted Christian. He would find a Catholic Church and attend mass in whatever town he was in while traveling. A highlight that his grandchildren remember is the yearly summer camping trips. He would take the grandsons one weekend and the granddaughters another weekend. His children remember a funny, caring hard working man that was very supportive and who taught them many lessons. It can be said that he was a good teacher. Friends and family remember his unique sense of humor and that he immensely enjoyed helping others. Paul is survived by his loving wife Margo of Florida; children, Paul (Shirl) of Omer, William (Jennie) of Oakland, Anthony (Sheryl) of Saginaw, Denise (Dallas) Beasley of Attica, and Leslie (Todd) Munday of Yale, and the mother of his children, Edith Pich, along with 8 siblings, six brothers and two sisters, 11 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Per his proud and noble wishes, his remains have been donated to Wayne State University. Donations can be made to Solanis Casey Center (1780 Mt. Elliot Street, Detroit MI, 48207-3437. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
