Paul Frederick Schultz

Paul F. Schultz, 65, of Sebewaing, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 1, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Paul was born April 18, 1952 in Detroit to the late Robert and Valeria (Rowell) Schultz. He graduated from Sebewaing High School in 1970. He married Joy Gettel on September 16, 1978 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Sebewaing.

He worked as a fork lift driver loading trucks at Michigan Sugar in Sebewaing before retiring in 2015. He attended Trinity United Methodist Church and was a member of the Caseville Eagles and Sons of the American Legion in Sebewaing.

Paul is survived by his wife Joy; daughter Stacie (Michael) Barringer of Freeland and son Matthew of Sebewaing; grandchildren Jack, Mae and Ben; sister Carol Reige of Bay City and her daughter Bridget and many dear cousins.

He was also blessed to have many families; Stan and Janet Gettel, Ronna (Jerry) Wilhelm, Neal, Tom (Amy) Gettel and their families. A work family that he could always keep laughing and did most of the talking. After spending the last two winters in Florida he gained a Florida family. He will be missed by his shed family and many close friends.

Paul was an avid Michigan State fan loving the football and basketball games, staying true whether they were winning or losing. Also he was a faithful Lions fan even in many rebuilding years. He loved going to car shows and reminiscing about the old cars he had and the stories that surrounded.

Funeral services will be at 11:00am Monday, October 9th at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Cindy Parsons officiating. Visitation will be 3-7 pm Sunday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Sebewaing and one hour prior to the service on Monday in church. Champagne Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
