Paul C. Shoup

Paul C. Shoup, age 71, of Caseville, died Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Huron Medical Center after a short illness.

Paul was born May 24, 1938 in Fairfield, Connecticut to the late Paul L. and Laura (Pendleton) Shoup. He graduated from University of Detroit High School and University. He retired from Comerica Bank as the chief purchasing agent. He moved to Caseville upon retirement, though he had been visiting the area for many years beforehand.

He was an active member of St. Roch Catholic Church, having been on parish council, the financial minister, eucharistic minister and a lector. He was also very involved in the Knights of Columbus West Huron Centennial #8042 where we was the current Grand Knight and the Scribe of the 4th Degree. His passions were traveling and fine dining.

Surviving are his sister-in-law Nancy Shoup of Kalamazoo; Nephews Tom and Dave Shoup and nieces Amy Shoup and Anne Liggett; close friends Patricia DesJardins and Bill and Peg Sturm.

He was preceded in death by his brothers David and James.

A memorial mass will be at 2:00 pm Sunday at St. Roch Catholic Church with Fr. John Weis presiding. A Knights of Columbus Rosary will be begin at 1:30 pm Sunday in the church.
