Paul Urmos

Paul Urmos of Caro, age 74, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014 at his home. He was born May 2, 1939 in Wadsworth, Ohio, the son of the late Joseph and Irene (Jasco) Urmos. Paul was united in marriage with the former Joan Louise Jacob on October 27, 1960, and she preceded him in death on April 12, 2009. He was employed with Michigan Sugar Company, was a self-employed painter, and worked with his daughter, Lori, for more than ten years at Independent Sorters. Paul loved his family and spending time with them. When he went anywhere, all in the area would know that he had been there. He was a fun-loving and giving man with a heart that cared about everyone. He went to food banks to help others when he himself was in need. Paul was always sharing smiles with his special gift of contagious joy and laughter to all he encountered. He is survived by three children and their spouses, Joseph & Cathy Urmos of Vassar, Dale Urmos of Vassar, Lori & Robert Ferguson of Brown City; four grandchildren, Jolen Starr, along with Krystal, Jordan and Dustin Dennis; and one sister, Donna Kibbe of Akron. Paul's wishes were to live on his own terms and escape quickly when he was called home. God said "yes". He wished for cremation and wanted no fuss of a funeral. Paul knew he was loved by many and shared that love abundantly. Our family is truly thankful to all who brought joy to his life, especially after Joan passed.
