Pauline Elizabeth Campbell, age 97 years, of Satchells Christian Retirement Home, Caro, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2005, at Caro Community Hospital. She was born on April 27, 1908, in Norwich, Connecticut. The former Pauline Elizabeth Burton Botham married Richard N. Campbell on February 24, 1939, at the Court Street United Methodist Church in Flint. He preceded her in death on April 9, 1999. Mrs. Campbell had been the Ellington Township Treasurer for many years. She was a member of the Sutton-Sunshine United Methodist Church and the UMW. In earlier years she was a member of the Ellington-Almer Farmers Club as well as the Grange. Pauline enjoyed being a mother and grandmother, along with making her special butterscotch pie as well as macaroni and cheese. She is survived by three sons, Richard (Kaye) Campbell of Caro, Arthur Everett Botham of Venice, Florida and Lloyd (Delores) Botham of Bay City and Venice Florida; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family also wishes to express their thanks to the owners and staff of Satchells Christian Retirement Home who became a loving part of her family. She was preceded in death by one brother, Lorenzo Bodsley Burton; and one sister, Dixie Case. The funeral will be held at Sutton Sunshine United Methodist Church on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Pat Robbins of Sutton Sunshine United Methodist Church and her grandson, Pastor Burton Campbell of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Cambridge, Ohio officiating. Burial will be at Ellington Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at Collon Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Sutton-Sunshine United Methodist Church or the charity of the donors choice.
