Pearl J. Booher age 97, of Port Hope died early Sunday morning, August 28, at Courtney Manor, Bad Axe.
She was born February 26, 1919 in Brookland, AR to the late John and Lonnie (Mothershed) Johnston.
She married John Booher and they made their home in Hazel Park.
Pearl drove school bus in Flint for many years before moving to the Detroit area where she was employed with Chrysler for 17 years and moved to Port Hope after they retired in the mid 80’s. John preceded her in death on July 2, 2000. Pearl enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking, talking about politics and drinking Mountain Dew.
Surviving are her sister, Bernice Edwards of Flint; several nieces and nephews and very close friends for over 30 years, Glenn, Karen, Robert and Kelly Jo and their families.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday, August 31, with a short service at 7:00 PM at the Champagne Funeral Chapel, Elkton. Burial will be next to her husband at Christian Memorial, Rochester Hills.
