Peggy Lou Ballard-Rinnert, age 75, of Pigeon, passed away Friday, June 20, 2014 at Scheurer Hospital in Pigeon.
Peggy was born in Pigeon, October 24, 1938 to the late Emerson "Spike" and Betty Jane (Morgan) Ballard. Before retirement she worked as a cook/waitress at the Sebewaing Log Cabin Restaurant. She enjoyed playing bingo, telling jokes, meeting new people and spending time with her family.
Peggy is survived by her children: Dee (Ron) Deming of Pigeon, Robert "Chief" (Kim) Menominee of Unionville and Jan Behrens of Pigeon; step children: Stanley (Joyce) Rinnert, Cheryl (Edward) Fritz, Tom (Tammy) Rinnert, Robert (Kathy) Rinnert, Mike (Judy) Rinnert, Vickie (Robert) Scott, Bonnie (Ronnie) Smith, Clifford (Lynn) Rinnert, Harry (Jennifer) Elliott and Floyd (Lori) Elliott; grandchildren: Jessica Deming, Matthew (Kimber) Deming, Amber (Justin) Burkett, Patrick (Leann) Davis, James (Shannon) Davis, Richard Davis, Scott Davis and Tyler Davis; 27 step grandchildren; great grandchildren: Raven and Lucian Deming, Katlynn Dryton, Tyler and Kerin Burkett, and Isaac Tobias; 32 step great grandchildren; siblings: Gary (Connie) Ballard, Betty (Gary) Sy, Sue (Bob) Klimkowski, Brad (Donna) Ballard, Tom Ballard, Diane Schember, and Tommie Jean Ballard, also survived by many nieces and nephews, and her little baby…her dog, Chadow.
Preceded in death by her parents, Emerson "Spike" and Betty Ballard; grandchildren: Mary Ann Deming, Chad Davis and April Menominee; great grandchild, Brooklyn Menominee; siblings: William Ballard, Mary Patricia Crone-Hipsley, Joe Ballard and Kay Ballard.
Visitation and the service will be the same day, Monday June 23, 2014 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 2pm.
Burial will take place at New Bay Port Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to the family.
