Peggy Lynn Parrish, 75, of Sand Point, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025 at home after a short illness, surrounded by family.
Peggy was born June 22, 1949 in Pigeon to the late Franklin and Doris (Smith) Strauch. In 1967 she graduated from Owendale-Gagetown High School. She married Donald Parrish on May 8, 1976 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Linkville.
Peggy was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and a member of the Ladies Aide. She enjoyed bowling from a young age as her family owned the Pigeon Bowling Alley. She enjoyed many trips to the casino with her husband Don and also “the girls” Amy, Dody, Wanda, Amy and Josi. She was lucky in love, family and friends. She loved her family with her whole heart. She was the life of the party with an open door and at her happiest hosting many gatherings at her home.
She is survived by her husband Donald; children Bryan, Shawn (Vickie), Brandee (Jeff) Fritz and Tarol (Robert) Douthit; grandchildren Shelby (Jamie) Carlisle, Racheal (Alex) Walter, Kayla, Payton, Damon Blackstock, Brooklyn Blackstock, Nevaeh, Blaklei Fritz, Destinee (Dustin) Landers, Orion Douthit, Faith Douthit and Camryn (Megan) Fritz; great-grandchildren Onalee, Miles, Archie, Jax and Delaney. She was preceded in death by her grandson Tyler and brother Jeffery Strauch.
Funeral services will be at 11:00am Friday, January 17th at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Linkville with Rev. Chris Suggitt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8pm Thursday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel.
