He enjoyed spending time with co-workers, summer drives in his convertible, sailing on Lake Huron, cross-country skiing, building model planes and boats, and playing with his West Highland terrier, Nicky.

Surviving are three daughters, Karin Shetler and her husband Kent of Pigeon; Linda Wardhammar of Indianapolis, IN; and Eva Chow and her husband Philip of McKinney, TX; one son, Brian Wardhammar and his wife Michelle of Sinking Spring, PA; six grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; one sister, Kirsten Johansson and her husband, Erik of Saltsjobaden, Sweden; and many nieces and nephews residing in Sweden.
