Philip Andrew Kemp

Philip Andrew Kemp of Caro, age 65, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at his home. Philip was born August 19, 1956 in Caro, the son of the late Andrew and Viola (Trisch) Kemp. He was known for his kind and pleasant personality but was very quiet and kept to himself. Philip was extremely proud of his baseball card, stamp, and large Christmas collections. He loved hummingbirds, music of all genres and had a diverse movie collection. Many people would recognize him while he was walking through town, and was known by the residents of the Caro Senior Commons for his love of Bingo. Philip had attended both the Caro Church of the Nazarene and Juniata Baptist Church Philip is survived by three siblings, Judy Kemp and her husband, Carlo Lombardo, of Chicago, Illinois, Thomas Kemp of Gary, Indiana, Gena & Sudhir Chhikara of Houston, Texas; brother-in-law, Peter A. Lombardo of Springfield, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Natalie, Peter Francis, Ross, Mina, Kirin and Tiberius. In addition to his parents, Philip was preceded in death by two siblings, David Kemp and Linda Kemp; and several aunts and uncles. A memorial service will be held at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul McNett officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at East Dayton Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Caro Church of the Nazarene.
