Phyllis Bennick

Phyllis Bennick, age 87 years, of Caro passed away on Monday, October 29, 2007 at the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility. She was born on February 26, 1920 in Juniata Township of Tuscola County to the late Samuel and Bessie (Sanback) Robinson. The former Phyllis Robinson married Stephen Bennick on June 28, 1948. He preceded her in death on June 22, 1975. Phyllis was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker and had worked for some time at The Pine Room in Caro. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Tuscola County Polish American Club and a 55 year member of the Women of the Moose. Phyllis enjoyed her family, especially her beloved husband, children and grandchildren. Her interests included reading, crafts and board games, especially Yahtzee. She is survived by four children, Patricia Buniack of Caro, David (Phyllis) OConnor of Akron, Gary (Pat) OConnor of Caro and Mike (Sylvia) OConnor of Caro; fourteen grandchildren and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Christopher Ralston and Dawn OConnor-Klinesmith. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Caro on Friday, November 2, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Father John Weis officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral and burial with be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Collon Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Women of the Moose memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Friday visitation will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Caro Women of the Moose or the Tuscola County Medical Care Facility.
