Phyllis Jean Hazard

Phyllis J. Hazard, 76, of Bad Axe, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022 at McLaren Thumb Region in Bad Axe.

Phyllis was born January 9, 1946 in Pigeon to the late Edward and Elizabeth (Toht) Fibranz. She graduated in 1964 from Laker High School. On July 23, 1964 she married Kinsey Hazard at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Linkville. She retired as a cashier from the Bad Axe K-Mart. She enjoyed making jewelry, doll collecting, crocheting and embroidering.

Phyllis is survived by her husband Kinsey; daughter Susan (Robert) Klemmer of Bad Axe; grandchildren Breanna, Zoe, Amanda, Mya and Faith; great-grandchildren Wyatt and Ellena; siblings Barb (John) Borka, Barry Schweitzer, and Nancy Eberline; and sister-in-law June Schweitzer. She was preceded in death by her son Matthew and brother Dale Schweitzer.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, November 12th at the Champagne Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ean Green officiating. Entombment will be in Colfax Twp Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 Friday.
