Ralph Anthony Fisher

Ralph Anthony Fisher of Caro, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Ralph was born July 10, 1953 in Highland Park, the eldest of Stanley and Irene (Wiegand) Fisher's seven children. He graduated from Troy High School with the Class of 1971 and earned an associate's degree in landscape technology from Oakland Community College in 1975. On October 15, 1977 he married his long-time sweetheart, Cathy Frick, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mayville. Ralph worked several jobs after his graduation to support his growing family; farming on the family land, starting his own landscaping and snow removal business, working at Great Lakes Lift, and Michigan Sugar. Ralph always placed family first and was happiest when working outside on projects with his family, either at home or on the farm. Ralph was a quiet but confident man who always made sure the job was done the right way. His calm demeanor was a positive influence on many people who knew and worked with him. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of forty-five years, Cathy Fisher; daughter, Becky Fisher and her husband, Scott Melton; son, Andy Fisher; grandchildren, Louis and Gwen; siblings and their spouses, Russ & Carol Fisher, Stuart & Sharon Fisher, Tim Fisher, Linda Fisher, and Mark & Cheryl Fisher; mother-in-law, Gerry Frick; brother-in-law, Chris Frick and his wife, Jackie; sister-in-law, Suzann Harding and her husband, Glen; and many nieces and nephews. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley & Irene Fisher; an infant brother, Stephen; and his father-in-law, Wayne Frick. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Rev. Michele Hile officiating. Burial will follow at Indianfields Township Cemetery in Caro. Ralph's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
