Ralph Edward Tabar

Ralph Edward Tabar, age 90, of Owendale, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Huron Medical Center in Bad Axe.

Ralph was born on the family farm in Owendale on April 8, 1927, to Nicholas and Catherine (Welther) Tabar. After graduating from high school he married Mamie Hahn on April 17, 1948. She preceded him in death on March 20, 1991. Ralph enjoyed being a lifelong farmer. He also worked for the Michigan Sugar Company and retired after the 1995 campaign. He worked at Ford Motor Company in 1956. He enjoyed being a member of the Brookfield Board of Review for about 10 years. He also enjoyed playing darts, playing cards, going to the casino, and being with his family. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Linkville.

Ralph is survived by his children: Wayne (friend Joanne Bowman) of Owendale, Ronald (Wendy) Tabar of Owendale, and Ann (Donald) Koch of Sebewaing; grandchildren: Dale & Carrie Tabar, Ryan & Erin Tabar, Chris & Alisha Tabar, Becky & Mike Wark, and Dave & Stefani Koch; great grandchildren: Mariah & Alex Tabar, Kaitlyn, Chloe & Aidan Miller, Kamden, Mason & Nolan Wark; brother, Harold (Theresa) Tabar in Florida.

Preceded in death by parents, wife, and siblings: Esther (Victor) Gartner, Irene (Howard) Hool and Lonnie (Dorothy) Tabar.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 1-8pm.

The funeral service will be Friday, February 2, 2018, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Linkville. Visitation will begin at 10am until the time of service at 11am.

Burial will take place at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Sebewaing at 2pm on Friday.

Memorial donations may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church (Linkville) or to the family.
